GPWA CUSTOMER WARNING: DOXO.COM

Customer Warning:

It has come to our attention that there is an on-line bill pay website that appears to be affiliated with Gore Public Works Authority (GPWA), but it is not. Doxo.com is third-party website that allows people to pay bills via their site. However, doxo.com may charge the customer extra fees, and GPWA cannot control IF (or when) we will receive any payments from doxo.com, possibly resulting in a late payment from the customer or even disconnection due to non-payment. Some companies never receive payments and consider doxo.com to be a SCAM. To make sure you’re paying GPWA directly, visit us at Gore Town Hall, 201 S Main St, call us at 918-489-2483, or mail us at PO Box 329, Gore, OK 74435.     To make an AUTHORIZED online payment to GPWA click the PAY GPWA WATER tab on this website.

Leak Alarm? Potential Leak Information.

If you are visiting this page, more than likely you have been directed here from a leak alarm notification found on your water bill. Please keep in mind you may or MAY NOT have a leak. There are many reasons for higher water bills, or water in your yard other than a leak in a water pipe.

If you have received a water utility bill with the “leak alarm” message, indicating you have a potential leak, please understand that some of our water meters are now equipped with electronics that can record consumption hourly. The message on your water bill indicates your meter registered continuous usage for 24 consecutive hours during this month’s billing period. This usage could be a measurement that equates to a very small drip or possibly a larger, more expensive leak. You have been notified of this potential leak to provide you time to investigate your water usage and prevent a larger, unexpected water and/or sewer usage charge on the next water bill. If you do not have a known reason why the meter would register usage for every hour for a 24-hour period between regular monthly readings, please remember this:

An alert on your bill does not necessarily mean your water leak is a large one at the current time or that you actually have a leak. The message indicates the meter showed 24 hours of consecutive hourly usage no matter if it was very small amount of water usage or a large amount of water usage. This message is printed on the bill as a courtesy to give advanced notice that something could be leaking. Unfortunately, some leaks will be larger when you receive your bill. The message will let you know why the increase on the bill occurred, as well as give you notice of a leak that has gone unnoticed by you.
