Randy has been a lifelong resident of Gore. This has given him a deep love for the blessings and beauty nestled within the town’s two square miles, encompassed by the waters of the McClellan–Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System, Lake Tenkiller, and the Illinois River. He was appointed trustee in February 2024. He has been married to his best friend Jill for 32 years, and they were blessed with three children. After working many years in fiscal services and AR, Randy retired from the Department of Veteran Affairs in 2012. Retirement allowed him to do exactly what he loves: caring for his mother, spending quality time with his family, and selling fireworks. Randy and family are licensed firework wholesalers and seasonal retailers, running and operating numerous retail stands and tents in and around the area. He is honored to get the opportunity to serve as Ward 5 Trustee in the place he has called home for over five decades. He is excited to be working with the mayor and trustees on the important business of today as well as a longer, forward-looking plan to ensure the town’s government is ready and able to lead in times of need. Randy asks that we find ways to heal, come together and all work together for a better tomorrow.
